The Boiler is an important component of a central heating system. It generates the heat, that is transmitted to all the rooms.

On the portugese market there are boilers working with gas (natural gas or propane), oil, electricity and pellets. Momentary above all oil- und gas-boilers are installed, and often they are combined with solar energy. Inside the boiler the fuel gets burned in a combustion vessel, heating the heating water and possibly the hot water gets warmed up.

To select the right boiler the quality of the boiler as well as the quality of the installation are the most important factors in relation to duribility and fuel consumption. Depending on the product type and the manufacturer one can assume the lifespan of a boiler between 15 and 25 years.
